The Living Planet Report
This is a comprehensive global accounting summarizing human overuse of the biosphere's capacity to regenerate. It was produced by the World Wide Fund for Nature International in concert with other international organizations.

Northwest Environment Watch: NEW is an independent, not-for-profit research and communication center based in Seattle. Since 1994, NEW has published many useful reports and small books on topics ranging from transportation to taxes and from urban design to ecological health. NEW is also engaged in developing an index to monitor the social and environmental progress of the Northwest bioregion (of which Sonoma County is the southern most part).
