Come to Sunflower Community Garden for hands-on instruction in good gardening techniques. Learn how to start your own seedlings in containers and have success with seeding directly in the garden. See different ways of creating vegetable beds and learn effective weeding and irrigation methods. This workshop will offer demonstrations as well as opportunities to try different methods of performing basic garden tasks. Please bring drinking water, and hat and shoes for garden work. Instructor Wendy Krupnick has over 30 years experience farming and gardening and is Adjunct Faculty with SRJC's Sustainable Agriculture Program. Fee: SR residents $36/non-resident $46 |
